The company's development – a method for manufacturing armour (сomposite Panels) Based on Hot-Pressed Boron Carbide and Aluminum Foam
The company utilises the hot pressing method, which allows us to manufacture solid multilayer armor plates in square shapes with dimensions of 150 mm, 200 mm, 250 mm, and beyond. The thickness of the plates ranges from 10 mm to 20 mm or more.Thanks to this technology, armor plates feature reduced weight and enhanced operational characteristics, including high durability.
Technology and products are patented and have undergone testing at the National Defense University of Ukraine named after Ivan Chernyakhovsky.
The key component of composite panels is boron carbide, one of the hardest substances in nature (third in hardness after diamond and boron nitride).
The technology eliminates challenges associated with size constraints and internal stresses, which inevitably arise with traditional boron carbide hot pressing methods.
